Modern Townhome
The owners of this San Francisco town house wanted to go from serviceable to sensational as they expanded to accommodate a growing family. Both owners enjoy creating new products and wanted to their new home to have modern aesthetic, but one with warmth, depth and detail. A mix of woods on the facade and in the kitchen provided nice yang against a calmer yin of smooth stucco and painted surfaces. Modern board and batten wood details informed the cabinet pulls, exterior siding, planters and fencing, and provided great texture. On the interior, stone tiles, textured solid surfaces offered movement which were punctuated by strong pops of color from tile and wallpaper.
