POP! Palo Alto
POP! Palo Alto was a “parklet in a box” concept to temporarily transform parking spaces into an unexpected people-centered fun zone. The goal was to illustrate how streets can function as both transportation corridors and interactive community gathering space. POP! Palo Alto consists of 4 rolling wood crates which contain green carpet square “flooring”, six stools and six temporary bike racks. With support from the City of Palo Alto, in 2016, we deployed the kit twice in downtown Palo Alto, participated in Bike Palo Alto and other community events.
